We tested Uplust in March 2026 and here's what we found: HTTPS is active site-wide. Age verification is the standard single-click dismiss with no enforcement mechanism. The privacy policy exists but is minimal - it mentions data collection without specifying retention periods or third-party sharing in any useful detail. What we didn't find was any clear content moderation policy, which matters because user-uploaded content on unmoderated platforms has a much higher rate of non-consensual material than curated sites. Ad behavior was a notable problem: we encountered 3 pop-under windows, multiple autoplay video ads, and 1 push notification permission request in a 5-minute session. The push notification prompt used a countdown timer to create urgency - that's a dark pattern we flag as particularly problematic. Uplust processed an estimated 500+ new image uploads per day based on visible timestamps, with minimal apparent review.

Fair warning about that push notification request: declining is the right move. Sites using countdown timers on permission prompts are trying to get you to click Allow before you've thought it through, and push notification spam from adult sites is difficult to clear from some mobile browsers. Use an ad blocker, ignore the countdown, and consider a VPN.
