Research Datasets

Last updated ยท Citable aggregate research

LustFind publishes aggregate research on two distinct networks: the NSFW Reddit community ecosystem (88,328 subreddits, 1552.9M combined members) and the porn site industry (2,581 sites reviewed across 26 categories). Each dataset below publishes citable statistics and rankings. Row-level data stays proprietary; the insights are open.

What Datasets Are Available?

How Does This Compare to Other Research?

Most NSFW research published online operates at the anecdote level - single-site reviews, personal blog rankings, one-off surveys. Systematic measurement across thousands of subreddits and sites is rare in this field. These three datasets fill that gap. Each covers scale no single reviewer can replicate manually, with classification layered on top of the underlying Reddit or site metadata.

The design choice worth flagging: we publish aggregate statistics and rankings, not row-level data dumps. Every chart, table, and ranking on the linked pages is citable. The underlying 88,000-subreddit database and 2,500-site review corpus stays proprietary - competitors who want the insights need to do the work themselves.

How Often Are the Datasets Refreshed?

  • NSFW Reddit census: monthly full refresh; member counts drift weekly on Reddit
  • Top NSFW subreddit rankings: monthly along with the census
  • Porn site review dataset: continuously updated as new reviews land and existing ones re-evaluate

Can I Cite These Datasets?

Yes. Each dataset page publishes Dataset JSON-LD with methodology, variable definitions, temporal coverage, and measurement technique. For citations, link to the specific dataset URL rather than this hub. Example citation format: LustFind NSFW Reddit Subreddit Census, April 2026. Retrieved from lustfind.com/nsfw-reddit-statistics. The aggregate statistics and rankings are free to cite and share. See the license terms.
