SpankWire scores 5/10 on our safety review as of March 2026. It's a legacy free tube - it was a legitimate mid-tier platform in the 2010s before changing ownership multiple times - and the 5/10 reflects a site that's functional and HTTPS-secured, but carrying historical baggage around ad quality and a consent record that's hard to audit given the ownership chain.

Here's what we found on spankwire.com. HTTPS is active and the certificate is current. Age verification is a click-through gate that's slightly more prominent than average - it has a styled modal rather than just a banner - but it still doesn't require DOB or payment verification. The privacy policy is present and reasonably readable, covering Google Analytics, advertising cookies, and data retention (though retention timelines are vague). In our March 2026 testing, we found the ad environment cleaner than many free tubes - one popunder in two sessions, no redirect chains. SpankWire appears to be using a mid-tier ad network rather than the lowest-tier exchanges, which explains the relatively better ad behavior. Content is aggregated from the broader tube ecosystem; older SpankWire content may include clips uploaded without performer consent during a period of lax moderation, which is a known issue from its pre-2018 era.

No paid tier, no billing risk. SpankWire requires no account for basic browsing. That said, some embedded player links connect to Wank.com or similar affiliated properties that do have paid tiers - check billing terms if you follow those links. We couldn't verify the current ownership structure of SpankWire, which has changed at least twice since 2016.

For users with standard ad blocking, SpankWire is one of the cleaner free tubes in the 5/10 range. That said, 5/10 is not a passing grade. Use uBlock Origin as a baseline.
