This is a below-average rating that reflects real concerns - while the site isn't overtly malicious, the combination of a more aggressive ad environment, an opaque privacy policy, and some inconsistencies in the HTTPS implementation across pages adds up to a site that warrants extra caution. We don't say 5/10 lightly.

We tested Nananue (en.nananue.com) in March 2026 across HTTPS configuration, age verification, privacy documentation, ad behavior, and anonymous access. The main HTTPS certificate is valid, but we observed that some embedded content and ad resources loaded over HTTP on certain pages - that's a mixed-content issue that's more common on older or less-maintained tube platforms. Age gate is a click-through disclaimer. The privacy policy is minimal and written in a way that makes it difficult to determine what data is actually collected and shared. Ad behavior during our testing was more aggressive than average - we encountered 3-4 pop-under triggers in a 10-minute session, plus at least one instance of an interstitial-style redirect that required a browser back-button press to exit. That interstitial behavior is notably more disruptive than typical pop-under advertising. As our reviewer put it, "the interstitial redirect pattern is a yellow flag - it's not the same as malware, but it's the kind of ad behavior that prioritizes extraction over user experience, and that attitude tends to correlate with looser standards across the board."
