FaceHub Safety Analysis
FaceHub scores 4/10 on our safety review as of March 2026. That score reflects a real problem: FaceHub is designed specifically for face-swapping and deepfake creation, and it operates with no meaningful consent infrastructure for the subjects whose likenesses are being processed. The $19.99/month Pro plan is what it says it is. The site isn't running a billing scam. But a 4/10 means we have substantive concerns that affect whether we'd recommend using it at all.
We tested facehub.io in March 2026. HTTPS is active. Age verification is a terms checkbox - no ID gate. The privacy policy is one of the shorter ones we've seen in this category (under 700 words) and doesn't address retention periods for uploaded facial images. That's a significant gap. The free tier gives a small number of credits and requires account creation via email but no payment info, which reduces billing risk for testing. Ad behavior was mixed - we encountered a redirect to an affiliate partner page once during our session, which is a yellow flag. FaceHub's face-swap processing runs on GPU cloud infrastructure, meaning uploaded face data passes through third-party compute servers before results are returned to users. We found user-reported concerns about unexpected results appearing in other users' generations in at least one community forum, though we couldn't verify this independently.
The $19.99/month Pro plan auto-renews and appears on statements under a merchant name that didn't immediately identify the platform in our test. Cancellation is in account settings. There's no stated refund policy. We couldn't confirm whether face data is deleted post-processing or retained for model improvement - the privacy policy is too vague to determine this.
Fair warning: FaceHub at 4/10 is a platform you should only use with full awareness of what you're uploading. As our reviewer put it, 'A face-swap tool with a 700-word privacy policy is making one of those two things much simpler than it should be.' Never upload another person's image without consent. Use a prepaid card for the subscription. Check your statement after the first billing cycle and cancel if you're not actively using the Pro features.
