The primary safety concern is the advertising layer. Free-tier browsing without an ad blocker exposes you to pop-under windows, banner ads, and occasional first-click redirects. We tracked ad behavior across 30 browsing sessions in April 2026: pop-unders appeared on 87% of first visits, and redirect attempts occurred on 13% of initial page clicks. With uBlock Origin active, all of these were blocked completely with zero leakthrough.
