Dust (usedust.com) was designed from the start around ephemeral communication. Messages delete automatically after they're read, or within 24 hours if unread. Screenshot detection alerts the sender if a screenshot is taken on iOS or Android - not foolproof across all OS versions, but a real deterrent. HTTPS is enforced, and the app uses end-to-end encryption on messages. The privacy policy is notably clear: Dust states it does not store messages on its servers after delivery, and there's no advertising business model to fund - the service operates on a freemium basis. No external ad network scripts, no ad behavior to worry about.
